Secondary Mental Health and Wellbeing Over the Summer

There are a number of Mental Health and Wellbeing supports available to students and families over the summer months. While we are not in school, we understand the need to stay connected and are here to help. 
 
 
Be Well Line
If you need mental health support for your child or teen over the summer months, you can leave a voice mail at 519-821-4600 ext 296. We have Mental Health Clinicians available and voice mails will be checked regularly during July and August.

STUDENT WELLNESS WEBSITE

Our Student Wellness Website is a place where you can learn more about wellbeing, check out short videos of different coping strategies, and find resources in the community that can help support you. You need to be logged into Google with your WCDSB board email address and password to visit this website.
 
VIRTUAL MENTAL HEALTH SUPPORT
 
There are free virtual mental health supports available as well. Virtual supports listed below can help youth who are struggling with anxiety, depression, challenging life circumstances, and more.
 
WES For Youth Online is for youth between 13 and 24. To learn more about WES for Youth Online, click here.
 
BounceBack is for youth between ages 15-18. To learn more about BounceBack click here. BounceBack also offers support for adults 19+.
 
WALK-IN SERVICES
 
CMHA:
By appointment, CMHA offers a single session service in Guelph on Tuesdays. They also offer this service in Fergus and Mount Forest bi-weekly on Tuesdays. For more information on the walk-in click here. To access this single session service, you will need to call Here 24/7 at 1-844-437-3247.
 
Compass Community Services:
Compass Community Services, formally known as Family Counselling and Support Services offers quick access walk-in counselling services (in person/virtual) in Guelph & Wellington County, no appointment needed.
 
Mount Forest, Monday's 9:30am-3:30pm,
Guelph, Wednesdays 1:00pm-7:30pm
Fergus, Thursdays 1:00pm-7:30pm

THE GROVE YOUTH WELLNESS HUBS

The Grove Youth Wellness Hubs are a safe place for students ages 12+ to hang out, where they can participate in activities such as: baking, escape room, art, watching a movie/playing video games, check in with an adult or have a single session with a mental health clinician. They have hubs in Palmerston, Fergus, Erin, and Guelph (U of G & YMCA)
