Today, February 3, the Ministry of Education indicated that all elementary and secondary schools within Wellington Catholic will be welcomed back to in-person learning on Monday, February 8, 2021.
Complete your daily screening before leaving for school. The screening tool should be completed daily by all students who are attending school in-person (or by the parent/guardian for each child) and any school-based staff or essential visitors.
Wellington Catholic has collaborated with UGDSB and CMHA Waterloo-Wellington to put together Wellness Works!, a monthly youth conferences for Grade 9-12+ students. Each month will focus on a theme related to mental health and wellness. High school students who participate can earn community service hours for attending and they have an opportunity to win prizes.
Earlier this week, Wellington-Guelph-Dufferin Public Health extended virtual learning for all elementary and secondary school students from January 25 to 29, inclusive. We anticipate further clarity from the Ministry of Education on an exact timeline for return.
