Attention all Seniors who are interested in playing Beach Volleyball this spring. Our first tryout will be Monday May 6th, in the gym at lunch. If you have any questions, find Mr. Singleton.

The Celtic Varsity Girls soccer team is off to a phenomenal start. The team kicked off their season with a semi-final finish at the McMaster High School Invitational tournament, placing third with 11 goals scored, three shut outs and only three goals against, getting knocked out by the eventual tournament champions.

Regular season play has been outstanding. The team has gone undefeated in four games, beating Lourdes 13-0, Orangeville 3-2, Centennial 6 -3, and St. James 6-0

Our senior core has led the team in all positions of play with Ella Humphrey making an unexpected return to net, Eilidh Duffey holding it down on the defensive line, Victoria Gamboa distributing through the middle, and Kya Jacobs leading the team in goals with nine scored in regular season play. All players have contributed to the team's success, and we can't forget to mention the incredibly strong freshman class who bring speed, grit, and finesse to the team, not to mention two diving header goals via Addison Atiyeh. The passing and possession game is strong with this team as they are playing some of the most exciting, polished, must-see soccer their coaches have ever seen. If you haven't come to watch a game, you really should make arrangements to get to Varsity Field after school on Tuesday to watch the Celtics take on GCVI in their next regular season match-up

Hey Celtics, you still have time to register for Relay for Life. As long as you collect your $100 donations by May 10th, you are free to attend. The event is fast approaching, taking place on May 17th, and it is being hosted by St. James. Aside from that, the Relay committee is still accepting donations to get us a civies day. We have a goal of raising $1000. That is easily obtainable if every student who has not yet contributed submits two dollars to School Cash Online. Submissions are due by Wednesday the 8th. We will have luminary bags available for everyone to decorate outside the caf. during lunch from Monday until Friday. There will also be a table outside the caf. on Thursday and Friday collecting cash donations.
