Regions of Competition
Bishop Macdonell Celtics are members of District 10 and Central Western Ontario Secondary Schools Association (CWOSSA). Participation in the District 10 Association includes the following schools in the Wellington Catholic and Upper Grand District School Boards:

- Our Lady of Lourdes CHS
- Orangeville DHS,
- Centennial CVI
- John F. Ross,
- G.C.V.I.
- Centre Wellington DHS
Athletes that achieve success with District 10, may advance to the CWOSSA competition. This includes schools from the Central West region of Ontario. Only certain athletes and teams advance beyond this level to the provincial OFSSA competition.
Bishop Macdonell is classified as a 'AA'. This ONLY affects competition at the regional and provincial levels. Schools are classified according to student population:

- AAA (901 – 1250)
