Chaplain's Message

A Message from our Chaplain

Greetings from the Bishop Macdonell Chaplaincy!

Our Catholic perspective is explored in every subject area and through the actions and attitudes of our whole staff. As Chaplain at Bishop Macdonell, I am privileged to walk spiritually alongside staff and students on their journey of faith.

Yearly, I encounter each student on our one-day retreats. Retreats are offered by grade and include opportunities for all staff and students to share a reflective experience outside the classroom. Through discussions, activities and quiet moments, we explore our faith perspective and developing world views. Together we discover how to effectively support eachother's faith and life journeys. It is a privilege to be included each year, in these moments of student development.

Additionally, the Chaplaincy offers a Grief and Bereavement Group. It is open to any student that has experienced the death of a family member. We meet in a supportive and confidential environment environment to process loss and promote healing. If you would like support, please see me in the Chaplaincy Office.

Drop by my office anytime if you want to say "Hi", need a listening ear, OR if you are interested in participating or learning more about Chaplaincy events and programming. My office is located next to the Loretto Chapel.

I would be happy to hear from you.
